West Bengal

West Bengal is an influential state that borders Bangladesh to the east. Throughout history this region has changed hands between Hindu, Muslim and Buddhist rulers. West Bengal became a major trading hub for the East India Trading Company and eventually became the seat of power for the company and later the British Raj. This fascinating land has natural beauty ranging from rivers, beaches and mangrove forests to mountains and jungles. This, along with the bustling city of Kolkata makes West Bengal a mesmerizing destination.
