Sikkim

The Kingdom of Sikkim was ruled by Buddhist kings since the 17th century and did not join India until the 1970s. Sikkim is a small mountainous state in the Himalayas that borders Nepal, Tiber and Bhutan. It is actually the least populated state in India and one of the smallest too. The highest peak in India and the third highest in the world, Kangchenjunga, is in Sikkim. Travelers can enjoy stunning vistas and breathtaking scenery at every turn. Visiting the Himalayas is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
